What energy are you bringing to your brand..?

What energy are you bringing to your brand and why does it matter?

Just recently I was at a networking event and people were sharing their business cards.

(Yes, people still do this - the business card is not dead).

As one of the attendees passed her business card across the table, she was already apologising for her card which she was embarrassed about and felt didn’t reflect her brand.

It's a little like when you receive a compliment on your skin or the dress that you're wearing and you immediately down play it with a response such as:

"Oh really? I can't imagine why, I feel so tired and I have so many dry patches"

"What, this old thing? It was only £15 in the sales"

We're projecting energy all the time and this energetic exchange immediately got me thinking about the energy that we’re projecting around our businesses.

What is your brand energy?

We're all brand building, whether we think we are or not...

WE don't decide what our brand is, other people do - they will form a perception of our brand based on what we say, how things look, how we behave and the signals we give out.

We also know that we create our own reality with our beliefs and thoughts, and many of these are subconscious. So if we're not feeling confident about our business card, brand or website, then we're quite likely to be communicating this to other people.

I wondered how many energetic blocks we’re creating subconsciously if we’re embarrassed about our brand?

This particular networking event was more about making connections than drumming up business, so it didn’t really matter…but it got me thinking about the impression it leaves if you’re apologising for your brand from the off...

Are you subconsciously casting doubt around your business?

Regardless of how great you are at what you do; if you’re apologising from the off it may cast doubt around your business.

The same is true for your website - if you dread people asking for your website because you don’t have one or the one you do have is clunky and uninspiring, then this is going to impact on the way you promote yourself. It's going to affect how you show up for your business in the world.

Compare this with standing in your power and owning your brand and website because you know it’s a true reflection of your fullest expression, and it's clear you’ll be projecting a very different energy.

Marketing will feel easier and you’ll be calling in the right opportunities when you’re proud to stand for your brand.

What kind of an impression are you creating? Does your brand and website give you the confidence you need to stand in your power and own your truth?
